This explains how you can start your dispute resolution journey with us. You need to have lodged an injury claim with ACC and it's usually best if you have tried to raise the issues with ACC first.
Who can use our service?
To use our services, you need to have lodged an injury claim with ACC and have an issue with ACC that needs to be resolved.
Here are the two questions you need to answer when you contact us.
1. Have you had an injury and lodged a claim with ACC
You are likely to have lodged a claim with ACC (or someone has lodged one on your behalf) if:
you were treated by a health provider after an accident or
you were treated at a hospital
You can also access our service if you are acting with the consent of another person and you are:
a legal guardian, parent, caregiver, or family group member of that person,
formally representing someone for example as a lawyer or an advocate.
2. Is there an issue that needs to be resolved with ACC?
We can only become involved if there is an issue that needs to be resolved with ACC. You can talk to ACC or the free independent navigation service if you want more general advice or if you are not yet at the stage where we can get involved.
